I watched Out of the Past with a fellow Film Noir lover, and asked him to make a frame grab
for me of this image. It was an inspiration throughout the production of “Double Mommy,”
a film I photographed for Doug Campbell.
We had the opportunity to create similar lighting in a scene where our young star is pushed into
a dark corner by the compromised male character.
My point is, if you have some inspiration, or a look book, or discussions with the Director,
it will become reality during the photographing of the film. Your subconscious mind will help you
make it happen!
